Reception Honoring Professor Dr. Golam Abu Zakaria at the Book Fair and Cultural Festival 2026
On the occasion of Amar Ekushey and Independence Day, a seven-day book fair and cultural festival was organized by the Naogaon Ekushey Parishad. The closing ceremony of the festival was held on 31 March 2026 in a dignified and well-organized atmosphere at the premises of Naogaon Krishnadhan (K.D.) Government High School.
During the festival, Professor Dr. Golam Abu Zakaria, a prominent son of Naogaon district, a pioneer of medical physics in Bangladesh, an internationally renowned educationist and the Honorable Chairman of Alo Bhuvan Trust, was felicitated as a distinguished personality in recognition of his outstanding contribution to education and science. In his speech, Professor Zakaria praised the initiatives and efforts of the Naogaon Ekushey Parishad and shared the memorable experiences of his student life at K.D. School.
At the same event, another prominent personality of Naogaon district, renowned film personality and director Mr. Matin Rahman, was also honored for his valuable contribution to the cultural field.
This event highlighted the importance of well-thought-out planning and effective management in organizing meaningful cultural activities. Ekushe Parishad, Naogaon, through its dedicated efforts, successfully completed the festival by increasing cultural awareness and social engagement.
