Breast and Cervical Screening
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Community Clinic Health Assistance Trust and Alo Bhubon Trust on 03/02/2025.
According to the MOU, Rahima Baniz Healthcare Center (RBHC), a rural health project of Alo Bhubon Trust (Alo-BT), has conducted a free breast & cervical screening test at Mosidpur Community Clinic, located in Varsho Union of Manda Upazila under Naogaon District. RBHC provided all the equipment, , registration team (4 staffs), a nurse and a gynaecologist. Dr. Sharmin Sultana, from Dhaka and Dr Farzana Tithi from RBHC are two gynecologists were present there. Also, two VIA expert nurses from Manda Upazila Shasthaya Complex, and Bangladesh Medical University were present for screening. Colposcopy was done wherever necessary
We ae thankful to CCHST, CS office, Naogaon, Manda Upazila Shasthaya Complex, Community Clinic Manda, Rotary club of (Save Life foundation; Dhaka Dhruva Tara, Paharpur Naogaon) and BRAC, Naogaon
The participants were women from Manda as well as beneficiaries from BRAC microfinance. Besides these, free consultation was provided to the patients
A total of 121 women , above the age of 30, were undergone screening.No HPV positives found. 2 Cervical polyp found and provided them expert doctor consultation and referral them for treatment. We will continue to other upazilla in Naogaon successively.
