Health and Cancer Screening Program

RBHC Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening

The Rahima Baniz Healthcare Centre (RBHC), the first centre of Alo Bhubon Trust in North Bengal, plays a vital role in promoting community health through health and cancer screening programs for women in rural and underserved areas. These programs include general health check-ups as well as cancer screenings, with a special focus on breast and cervical cancer, two of the most common yet highly preventable and treatable cancers in Bangladesh.

Due to limited awareness and access to healthcare, many women seek help only at advanced stages, when treatment becomes difficult and costly. To bridge this gap, RBHC regularly organizes community-based screening camps, providing clinical health examinations, breast and cervical cancer check-ups, and health education. The centre also offers doctor services for both screening and treatment, ensuring comprehensive care. The program not only delivers medical screening but also raises awareness about early detection, self-examination, and regular check-ups, empowering women to take proactive steps toward their health.

These initiatives have already made a significant impact by identifying at-risk women early and referring them to appropriate healthcare facilities for timely treatment. Beyond screenings, RBHC educates families, helping reduce stigma and encouraging community support for women’s health. Through these efforts, RBHC and Alo Bhubon Trust are improving overall health, saving lives, and promoting early cancer detection—one screening at a time. This program is bringing hope and saving lives—one screening at a time.
