On April 22, 2026, a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Alo Bhubon Trust (Alo-BT) and the Department of Public Health & Informatics of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU), in the honorable presence of the Vice Chancellor of BMU. Under this agreement, both organizations will collaborate on various public health issues, including Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), maternal and child health, and reproductive health.
The MoU was signed by Professor Dr. Golam Abu Zakaria, Founder and Chairman of the Alo Bhubon Trust, and Professor M. Atiqul Haque, Chairman of the Department of Public Health & Informatics, on behalf of BMU. Additionally, Dr. Md. Maruf Haque Khan, Director of the Center for Non-Communicable Diseases Research, also signed the agreement.
Professor Dr. Hasin Anupama Azhari, General Secretary of the Alo Bhubon Trust, and Dr. Farzana Islam of BMU were present as witnesses. Simultaneously, another MoU was finalized with the Hope Foundation to expand healthcare services, which is expected to bring positive changes to the country’s health sector.
